To Nan..
The rain was heavy the day you left the day you had to go,
And now you’re no longer with us there’s some things I’d like you to know,
The day after you left the sun came out, I’m sure it shone for you,
To let us know that your ok and will carry on shining through,
Although we no longer see you, your presence will always remain,
We’ve all got our own memories to ease away the pain,
Like when in Mexico we pretended to be sleeping,
But the looky looky man caught us peeping,
When we stayed over as kids and made shadow puppets on the wall,
You even taught my girls the song fly away Peter fly away Paul,
The time you took your teeth out Jasmine was terrified,
For being a great nan to us all you were definitely overqualified,
The kettle would always be put on, the fire always lit,
You even taught me and Gary the basics on how to knit,
To reminisce on the olden days the story’s you and grampy would share,
Would fascinate each one of us we all wished we were there,
I would like to thank you for being such a great nan to us and for all the years we shared,
Its was clear to see you loved your family and you always cared,
Now you can rest peacefully, I hope you look after us from above,
The one thing that will never end is our eternal love.
Love you always x

I am I and you are you, whatever we were to each other that we still are.
Speak to me in the easy way which you always used.
Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight?
Life means all that it ever meant, it is the same as it ever was.
